The Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners presented a Proclamation declaring the National Hispanic Corporate Achievers Day on March 5, 2012. Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez highlighted our not-for-profit Organization for its continuous efforts to contribute to the enhancement of our community for the good of the Citizens, for serving as a plateau for major corporations to gather and recognize the accomplishments of their top employees of Hispanic descent, and for joining forces with educational institutions to create programs of empowerment, summits, diversity career fairs, and forums, which help develop and prepare the Hispanic community to not only lead but flourish within the global economy.
National Hispanic Corporate Achievers, known also as Hispanic Achievers, was also recognized for the launch of the first Hispanic license plate in the Nation which represents the great accomplishments of American Hispanics while providing funding to non-profits throughout Florida that serve minorities. Outstanding leaders from Chambers of Commerce, Health Systems, Associations, and other Community Organizations from South Florida were honored on this day for their community service and economic development.
These leaders and organizations were also recognized as Hispanic Achievers Ambassadors. Visit www.HispanicAchievers.org for photo and video gallery.
