On March 4 through March 6, 2011, Florida law schools competed in this year’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition (STAC) sponsored by the American Association for Justice. Attorney Richard R. Robles served as a judge in the competition. “You [law students] possess a great deal of talent; I would include any of you on one of my trial teams,” Richard R. Robles stated as he addressed the competing law students. Stetson University was the winner of the statewide competition. “It is those law students who go the extra mile that set themselves apart in the legal profession as lawyers,” Robles added. The event was co-sponsored by Lawyers to the Rescue, a non-profit organization created by lawyers dedicated to bringing humanitarian support to people around the world in times of crisis.
